Yesterday I had my foot surgery to fix the fracture in my 5th metatarsal. (Bone from your toes to your ankle). I woke up anxious and had a queezy stomach. Zach was so stressed out wondering how I was going to do ANYTHING with recovering from my herniated disc back surgery and the recovery from my foot. He wears his emotions on his sleeve for sure. It was only stressing me out more, feeling like he wasn't ready to support me through this endeavor. Where in actuality he was just so worried about me, not knowing what the next 2 wells had in store for me. I LOVE HIM!
We had to be at the hospital at 7:30. After checking in, Dr. Rigby (foot surgeon) and Dr. Robinson (Anesthesiologist) came to visit with us prior to surgery. I KNOW that Zach had a lot of stress relief after talking with both of them. Dr. Robinson did a great job with my anesthesia. I was so sick after general anesthesia from my back, I knew I didn't want to go through that again. I had a knee block and light sedation. I didn't feel a thing and woke up nausea free. YES! We have been so impressed with Dr. Rigby. He was so nice to call me at home last night and see how I was doing. I would recommend him to anyone.
In post op I found it was much easier to use a walker to get short distances than crutches. The crutches hurt my back way to much. So my modes of transport around the house are my fancy walker equipped with tennis balls, and my walk about knee scooter equipped with black wire basket. My kids are loving all my gadgets. Lyndee said yesterday while playing with the walker, "Look I'm an old granny. Look I'm April Checketts! " Ha, Ha she thinks she is so funny. However it made me laugh, so I guess she really is.
I've had great help. My mom and mother-in-law watched my kids yesterday and got them everywhere they needed to be. Today they are at a neighbors house and school leaving me to a very quiet house that I am thoroughly enjoying. Don't get me wrong I love having my kiddos and hubby home, but it is not often I have a quiet house to myself.
Getting them all ready for pick up this morning was a nightmare. Someone somewhere was crying or telling me NO repeatedly all morning. We managed and I've checked in with the neighbor and they are doing great. Thank you Stacey!
Our ward had been so good to bring in dinner. Last night we had Kneaders for dinner. Thank you Bro. & Sister Booth. I had leftovers for lunch. We'll have dinner the next 2 nights.
I am hoping to make it to a missionary homecoming on Sunday. We'll see. I have had no pain since surgery, Thank goodness. I've just used ibuprofen and half a Percocet last night before bed for when that block wore off. I slept great and thus far have had no problems. (Knocking on wood as I type this). I don't want any more trials to test OUR patience right now. (More Zach's than mine). Although I would rather go through this than watch my kids go through it. For sure. I hate when they are hurt and sick and I can't do a dang thing about it.
God is good, and I have been blessed for sure. I've had great recoveries. I know we all have trials in our lives that we must go through. These ones are more Zach's than mine, weirdly I know. It's a physical trial for me and a mental/emotional trial for him. He had had to take on so much more around the house and with the kids, that he gets overwhelmed easily. Not to mention he's getting his real estate business up and running at the same time. He's a busy man. I know I would be just as stressed if it were the other way around, so I'm not judging. He had been great to help me along with anything. He even said after my back surgery that it was nice to be able to have the opportunity to serve me. Oh, I love him!

Foot Surgery and a Day of Rest

Surgery Again?
Yes, you read that title right. Ugh
I went back to work on January 9, two and a half weeks after my Microdiscectomy (back surgery). I was informed by my boss that I needed to be to work early, and she stressed that I could not be late. FINE! So, I was up early and running right on time. 7am, I went out to the van to load my purse, lunch bag, grabber and diaper bag. I even cleared the stairs so I wouldn't fall, but . . . my foot decided not to come up high enough while walking up the stairs, and I fell. I fell UP THE STAIRS. Pathetic I know, but somehow I broke my right foot. It was so painful, I hobbled to my bedroom and tears were streaming down my face. I had to text my boss and tell her I would be late. Sorry Jess. I had Lyn help me get the kids loaded up around 7:30 and headed to work. Deep down inside I knew it was broken, but I hoped it was jammed and that it would feel better in a few hours. Well a few hours passed, it was 3:30pm and still so painful. I called the foot doctor and asked a few questions. I took off my shoe and yes, it was swollen and bruised. I needed an xray. Since I had never seen Dr. Rigby - foot doctor, they asked Dr. Vernon to order it. Sure enough it was fractured. Dr. Vernon wheeled me into his office to see the xray. I was sent home with a big black hard sole shoe, with instructions to see Dr. Rigby next week. Dr. Vernon and his medical assistant are the best.
My apt with Dr. Rigby was Friday. My bone rotated away when it was fractured. He reviewed my xray with me and gave me my 3 options for healing it. Here we go . . .
1. Wear a large leg brace for 12 weeks minimum, in hopes that it will heal. He didn't have much faith in this option because of the rotation. I would also need to be off it as much as possible. Umm I can't do that, I have a family, job, and lots of responsibility. Nope.
2. Cast it, and have no weight bearing on it for 8 weeks with crutches. That can't be good for my back, and his feelings about this are, that because I am so young I would be to active even on crutches for it to heal properly. Nope.
3. Surgery! What?!!?!?? Not again. Ugh. With this otion it would take 20 min to make an incision and put in 3 screws bring the fracture back together perfectly. I could have the surgery on a Thursday, and be back to work on monday with restrictions. I cannot drive for 2 weeks, no bearing weight on it for 2 weeks, and I get one of those fun knee scooters. I will be able to work but only to answer phones. Better than nothing, I have no vacation days.
I didn't want to break the news to Zach. I know it would add so much more stress on him. I love that he is willing to help me, but I feel like a burden sometimes when I can't even do some of the littlest things, and I know he gets irritated, but he is still good to help. Love him! I will be so happy when this is all over, and we don't add anymore"things" to the stress running about in our home. The first part of April I will be fully recovered from my back, and hopefully my foot. Nothing like meeting my out of pocket max Dec. 23, 2014, and then meeting this years January 22, 2015. I have applied for financial assistance in the hospital since we will have almost a $10,000 bill once it's all done. Why not, just add it to the debt we already have stressing us out. Where there is a will, there IS A WAY. I know if we obey and trust in the lord that things will work out for us.
God is good, and we have been blessed. I know these are trials we must face, and with faith we will overcome them and learn and grow from them. My back has healed tremendously well, and I have only needed ibuprofen or Tylenol. NO NAROTICS, WOO HOO!!!! I hope to do the same with my foot surgery.

Whats up with US
Wow we've been busy since my last post in, ummm, June 2014. I'm lazy I guess. No actually I can only blog from one of our 3 computers, and Zach had it at school and work all the time. Yes, this is my excuse. :)
Any hoozies. I thought I would do a little whats, what with our family now. We'll start with the youngest.
Jayden: This little ball of energy turned 18 months in October, and 2 years is fast approaching. April 2015 will be here before we know it. He is learning and growing so fast. He seriously amazes me everyday. He is doing a lot of talking now, and a little less climbing, which is good for us. These are some of his favorites: Cereal, he can eat 3 bowls each morning. Stuffed animals, he carries his mickey mouse around the house all day. He fights over Minnie with Madi, and now has a huge cute lizard that is basically bigger than he is. You should have seen his face on Christmas day. Priceless. Thanks Uncle Dal. He loves being included in all things. In fact he is really good at taking something from one of his siblings just because they are playing with it, and decides its boring and takes the next thing they've started playing with. It's bad sometimes. He knows when he is tired and almost begs us to put him down for naps and bed. I love this! Sometimes he can sleep 4 hours during 1 nap. MOMMY TIME, kinda sort of. With 3 other kids, does mom ever really get mommy time? Nah. He is our dare devil. He loves playing with the fly swatter, and beating on his siblings every change he gets. Naught boy. He is a thinker, and will figure out how to get almost anything he wants. I love watching him when he is by himself. I like to try to understand the way he thinks. It intrigues me. It saddens me to know he is our last, but Zach and I both know he finishes our family and we are very happy with that.
Madi: This little girl is coming on 4 yrs old now. It seem like yesterday we were celebrating her sisters 4th bday. Her favorite sentence right now is, "I can't, my tummy hurts!" I don't even know how many times a day I hear her say that. It's a little annoying. She however has just a little smile that will melt your heart. She is the one that will crawl up on my lap and cuddle, and have me tickle her feet. She has such a natural beauty that overcomes me when I really study her. She loves Doc McStuffins (a cartoon show about Doc fixing all her toys), and likes to play doctor, barbies, puzzles, and games. She really is an all around type of girl. She will play with anyone and anything. She cries about little things, or anything at all when she wants us to know about. I thinks she feels like if she cries and screams we'll give in, but we rarely do. I hope it is age related. She shares a room with Lyndee and she is loving it. She is my little baker. Anytime I need to make a cake, she just joins right in with her apron and flour bucket. She loves early morning cartoons, and is our little creeper when she is up before us. She will scare you and creep you out by just showing up next to our bed, in the doorway, or hiding under our bed. Silly girl.
Alex: Oh, Alex. He is 7 now and in the 1st Grade. He loves school, and would rather be there than home. He actually listens in school, and is in the top of his class. I have seen the way he behaves at school and I could only wish he were that way at home. I really feel like he has competition at home, and that is why he acts out. He is the BEST kid when he is by himself. He would be the perfect only child. I think having siblings is truly one of his challenges in his life. He is addicted to electronic devices and just today was grounded from them. He cannot bring himself away from them easily, and becomes a monster child when we turn it off or take it away. This doesn't happen all the time, but yes, a good chunk of the time. Despite his tantrums at 7yrs old, he is so caring for others. He is opposite his brother in this aspect. Alex is so very cautious about everything, and even worries for Jaydens safety when he decides jumping off the top of the stairs is okay. It gives Alex anxiety to know that someone he loves is in danger. So sweet. He is a lover of LEGOS. He could spend hours and hours building legos, which we prefer to games and aps. Alex's favorite food is ravioli, and salad with ranch, or mashed potatoes and gravy. He refuses to clean up his room, and make his bed with out "help". Meaning I do most of the work, or A LOT of encouragement. Sheesh. Sometimes I even get out the vacuum and just start in his room. It freaks him out enough that he cleans FAST. He doesn't want to lose any legos to the vacuum. I love being with him just us, but he truly is Zach's biggest trial.
Lyndee: She is 9 already. Pre-teen. She is the one that listens the most of all our kids. She might be grumpy about doing something we ask her to do, but is really the only one that will get it done. She is a social butterfly, and loves to be the center of attention. I've had her and Alex in after school for homework and games until we get home from work. It seems to be really taking a toll on her friend life. She misses being with them, and walking home after school, like they did everyday last year. I know this is deep down the root of why she is always so grumpy. We really worry about her. She never seem to be her cheery self these days. She told me because of her friends, and having to always clean. I told her that if she would just pick up after herself and help out with her laundry and dishes than it would be much easier. I've needed her help a lot these last few weeks, and she has been so good to help out with Jayden and really anything I need. She loves one on one time with Zach or I. With me it ends up in scratching her back. She is so much like her dad, it's scary. She loves to dance and tried out for the advanced group and made it. She goes to dance twice a week. She has gotten really good. Having something for her to do is necessary and is helping her with confidence. I had her in soccer this last fall for the first time, and I think she really enjoyed it. Our schedules were so, so busy for 6 weeks, but it was good for her. She still loves the color pink, and Ramen Noodles.
Zach and Myself: I'm gonna just mumble about the both of us together. Fall of 2013, we knew it was time to move out of the valley. We had always felt the move to weber county would happen, we just didn't know when it would be. We got our answer that fall, and Zach started looking for jobs, and applied for Weber State University. I love looking for houses, and started watching the housing market closely in that area. We told our families about our decision, and they were less than happy. We were stoked, because it was the right thing to do. Zach started school in January 2014, and had a job interview with UTA in February. In march he applied for a job position as a private probation officer. They offered him the job in April, but we were negotiating pay. I was looking for houses like mad by this time. We thought for sure this was it. We had decided that when we moved, I needed to be home with our kids, so his salary needed to be enough to support us entirely. They kept coming back with CRAP pay. I mean CRAPPY pay. He would have been starting up the Ogden branch new, by himself, and still wouldn't offer more than his current salary at Cache County Jail. He tried to argue the fact that housing was more expensive in Weber county, but alass, we couldn't do it. He had to pass up his dream job. We just couldn't afford a house and me staying home for $30,000/year. We even got to the point that we didn't need a huge house and could settle for a smaller 3 bedroom. The reality is that a smaller 3 bedroom house in Weber county was still almost the same price as our house in Cache Valley. Still a no go. We waited to hear back from UTA, but they went into a hiring freeze, and nothing came from it. So, he kept looking.
In June we went on vacation with Zach's parents, Aunt Debbie and Uncle Scott. We went to the Redwoods in Northern California, and drove up the coast to a Lincoln Oregon where we stayed in a beach house for 5 days. It was so much fun. The drive was long with 4 kids, but we all had so much fun. We got to play on the beach, collect star fish, and hermit crabs. Thank you again Curt and Janet.
Late July Zach came home from work and told me he had applied for the Work Diversion Deputy at work. We were so hopeful he would get the job, and HE DID. It truly is such a great job for him. It gives him the opportunity to help others serve in the community. He works 4 Ten hour shifts, wed - Saturday. Perfect with my work schedule. He has become so happy with this new job, we stopped looking elsewhere. We are not entirely sure why were felt so strongly about moving, but one reason we feel, is to make us grateful for what we have here. We never would have been able to afford a house this same size in Weber County. Our kids love their school, and their friends. We do love our daycare provider too. So we have become happy with what God has blessed us with.
Shortly after starting his new job, his dad approached him about a career in Real estate, and if he would be interested in helping him buy and sell rental homes. Zach thought about it, and signed up. He started in August, and finished his classes in December. He passed his state test on Monday Dec. 29. He has 3 interviews with Brokers this week. He is stoked!!!
Now we know starting out he is not going to be rolling in the dough, but we are hoping that within a year I can quit and stay home for the kiddos and our sanity. Seriously, carpool, daycare, working, and picking kids up and getting them here or there is so STRESSFUL when you are working. It is so much nicer to know that I can be here to care for our kids without having to beg/ask for help all the time. I can't wait.
A little more about me. I have been working full time since July, and hating it. I told my boss at the end of the year I wanted to get back to part time. MY KIDS NEED ME! In September I started having low back pain. I didn't do anything in particular, but was just having pain between sitting and standing. It over time was not getting better. I finally went and saw Dr. Swenson. He referred me to Physical Therapy as I didn't want to undergo an MRI that was $$$, when I thought PT could help me. Therapy was helping a lot, and I was almost released, until I started having a lot of pain in my right leg and right hip. Early December the pain was so bad, I was bed ridden for 4 days. It was so painful to go to the bathroom and back to my bed. I hated every minute. I couldn't care for myself or kids. This put a lot of stress on Zach as his finals were coming up that next week. I had my dad and Zach give me a blessing on day 3. That night I went to the ER just to make sure it wasn't a blood clot. I didn't really think it was, but the fear of dying from a pulmonary embolism scared me enough to make sure. It was negative, thank goodness. On the 4 day, I was upset at my kids and slammed my bedroom door. I twisted funny (so painful), but relieved some of the intense pain I was having and was finally able to walk again. I called Dr. Swenson and had him order that MRI I didn't want to pay for. $1600, yep just for my lower back. IT was needed. The MRI tech asked when I was following up with my doctor and agreed I needed to see him soon. (He can't legally tell me anything). Well there was a reason my foot was going numb and the pain in my right calf had been so unbearable. I had 2 herniated discs in my low back. One of them was so bad it had herniated down to the next disc. WHAT???? I'M 31 NOT 70! Actually this happens to most people between the age of 20 - 45. I talked with him about my options, and with a herniation this big, surgery was my only option. So off to see Dr. Vernon, Spine surgeon. He reviewed the MRI with Zach and I and gave me 3 options. Watch it and do Physical Therapy, which would ultimately lead me back to Dr. Swenson on and off for pain control. Nope, I couldn't be flat in bed on and off forever. I have to take care of family. Next. Surgery to remove the herniation, or since I have degenerative disc disease, just do a fusion of those discs. My mom had a fusion, and she has not been the same since. Immediately I did not want to do that. So I opted for the discectomy. When did I do this you ask? 2 days before Christmas, so I could have it on this deductible, and time to recover. Surgery took 4 hours, and anesthesia made me so sick. I threw up 7 times in 8 hours following surgery. I couldn't even have the lights on in my room, because it made me sick. When the elders arrived to give blessings I immediately had them come in. My blessing was so good, and thinking about particular parts of it still make me cry. When they left my room, my nausea was immediately gone. GONE!! What a wonderful gift from my Father in Heaven. Thank you elders for your sacrifice of time to come give me a blessing if no one else. You will never know how grateful I truly am. I came home from the hospital Christmas Eve. I know it put a lot of extra stress on Zach, be he too knew I needed it. He was so good to care for me and the kids. Was it easy? No. But he did it, and I am thankful to him for his sacrifice. I am almost 2 weeks out from surgery, and I am surprised how well I have been doing. My leg pain was completely gone after surgery, but has since returned and I am worried. I keep feeling like I need to have more FAITH in the surgery and in God that I will be healed.
Since my time off of work, I made a deal with Lyndee that if I read a book, she had to as well. She hasn't kept her end of the bargain. I read Chris Stewarts, The Great and Terrible, The brothers. It was a little difficult to grasp at first, but had me in tears by the end. I love reading books about life beyond the veil. This was a fiction book, I know, but still got me thinking about a lot of things, and people. I look at my husband, and kids differently. Their spirits chose Good over evil, as did I. Every one of us on this earth chose to follow the Saviors Plan. We are all Spirit Children, and we have Heavenly Parents. Our goal is to get back to god. We have wanted that from before coming to earth, and this book was so real to me as God was speaking with every spirit before their departure to earth. Tears I say, tears. I really need to be more understanding of others, the free agency we have all been granted by GOD, through Jesus Christ. I can't wait to start volume. 2. We were all sent to help each other make it back to GOD, and often I have gotten caught up in the stresses of earth life and have forgotten about that. Focused on the negative of others, instead of the positive and working together to return home again.
I had a thought today, randomly. There have been people in my life that I have looked at and judge, thinking she looks snobby, I probably wouldn't get along with her. When in reality God has brought me closer to them, and they have become people I truly adore. God sent them to me for certain reasons, and I am so thankful for them. I have learned something different from each. I wondered if evil angels were trying to keep me from these strong spirits that I may never grow and learn. I know this is the case. Why would Satan and his followers want me to be happy? God knows me, and he wants me to be happy. Thank you Father for knowing me, and blessing me with these wonderful people that have blessed my life tremendously.
I have decided what my New Years Resolution is going to be.

Let's enjoy every minute of 2015.

Oregon Trip - Lincoln City, Low Tide Hunting
After we got back from Tillamook, we waited a little bit for Low tide, so we could go check out the tide pools with the kids. They were kinda slimy, and I had to be careful carrying Jayden around the rocks. Lyndee found some cool things. Grandma got a few star fish that wasn't clung on very tight to the rock. Pink and Purple one. Our favorite colors.
Alex and Madi got bored, and decided to go rock hunting away from the water.
Jayden was unsure of the sand at first. This is one of his better pictures.
Zach showing Madi how to fly the kite.
Jayden checking out Lyndee's finds.
We let most of Lyndee's beach finds (Critters) go back out in the water. We did bring home the star fish and shells. (There is kind of a funny story about this, that you can read in a future post. OUR DRIVE HOME)
Oregon Trip - Tillamook
I seriously was SOOOO excited to visit Tillamook Cheese Factory. We drove up the coast a few hours to Tillamook, Oregon. Zach and the kids were just as excited as I was. When we walked in, the first thing we saw was the Tillamook Cheese van. Umm, yes we want to play inside. Grandma hopped in with the kids. Jayden was crawling in and out of the van multiple times. We had to pry him away from it.
I got Zach and Alex to pose for a fun little farm picture.
Alex and the family enjoying the factory, watching how it all works.
This is Alex, ALREADY whining that we had been there too long, and that we needed to leave. Impatient little boy. I wonder who he gets that from? Hmmmm.
Finally, CHEESE TASTING TIME!!!!!! This was our favorite part. We love us some cheese. The Smoked Cheddar was my favorite. We ended up buying us some on our way out.
After eating our cheese samples, the kids and Zach picked us out a Tillamook magnet, then we headed over to the ICE CREAM COUNTER. We shopped much faster than the rest of the gang. We had our ice cream done and eaten before they came to join us with their yummy treats. So while we were waiting, Zach took Jayden and Alex through the cheese tasting line 3 more times. You would think such a thing would be banned, but nobody said a thing. LUCKY, I wish I had me more cheese.
After leaving the factory, Debbie and Scott treated us to Lunch. We checked Trip Advisor for a good place, and found this little shop called, Divine Burger Bistro. I had AWESOME reviews. The sign was not out front, but in the window had the Trip Advisor Sticker. It is this little grill in the back of a consignment type shop. We sat down. The menu had no store name on top of it. We ordered us some food. It was a Hawaiian type place. It did have a few burgers on the menu but not very many for a burger place. We tried to keep the kids quiet as their bellies were starving. (I don't know why with all the cheese and ice crew we had just eaten.)
Lunch was good. Not at all what I was expecting. (As you'll note I am typing this 2 months after getting home from vacation. I had to look up the restaurant name on Trip Advisor again, because I couldn't remember it. Now the APP says that Divine Burger Bistro has permanently closed. YEP, we for sure didn't eat at the burger bistro. Still pretty good food, whatever restaurant we were in.

Oregon Trip - Lincoln City, FINALLY - 10 Year Anniversary
Lincoln City, WE MADE IT!! We were over an hour ahead of Grandma and Grandpa. We googled the address to the beach house and couldn't wait to get in unload and relax for a bit. This house was right on the beach, only 90 stairs up the mountain from the beach. We toured the entire house and decided it would be best if we stayed on the main level, by the kitchen so we could get up and feed the kids. (Since we know that none of them are patient, at all. I think this gene comes from their dad. Just kidding I'm pretty impatient.) We had to baby proof the house a little bit in every room. Jayden had really started walking pretty good while we were on vacation. He could get up and around to anywhere he wanted to go.
Zach and the 2 oldest kids headed down to the beach, almost as soon as they could. After all, we had been waiting for the beach for quite some time now.
I didn't go down to the beach that evening, but went the next morning with Zach and the kids. Jayden was taking his morning nap up at the house with Aunt Debbie. We were down there until close to 1:30 PM. We built castles, motes, and a large "THANK YOU" sign in the sand for Curt and Janet for bringing us to Oregon. Janet didn't get to see it first hand because she was sick in bed with, what we think was food poisoning. We felt so bad for her that she was sick on vacation.
All I really wanted was to see a beautiful sunset go down over the horizon without clouds. Looks like I GOT IT!! I really was so nice and peaceful. Such a nice night with my family.

These are the 90 stairs we needed to climb back up to the beach house.

A piece of a shell from a crab. We found it in the sand.
The kids filled up water buckets to help create and darken the "THANK YOU" sign.
06/10/2004 - OUR ANNIVERSARY (10 YEARS)
This trip was sort of an Anniversary trip / family trip combined. I can't believe we've been married 10 years. It seems like only yesterday we were sealed together forever, and now it's been 10 years and 4 kids later. WOW! Thank you for all your love, support, and sacrifice for our family over the last 10 years Zach. I love you so much, and am so grateful that I have Eternity to be with you!!
We didn't even get one picture with us together. Janet started feeling a bit better, so she decided to watch the kids, so we could go out on a date. We ended up going so late because of illness, that we missed all the antique shops. We walked around the tanger outlet mall and bought a really cool kite for the beach. We also got a few little ones for each of the kids. When we got back, dinner was already for us. Thank you Debbie.
We had dinner and headed back out to the beach for some kite flying and a beautiful sunset.
Lyndee and her normal "I'm mad at you face"
All I really wanted was to see a beautiful sunset go down over the horizon without clouds. Looks like I GOT IT!! I really was so nice and peaceful. Such a nice night with my family.
After the sun went down Zach, Alex, Lyndee, and I hopped into the hot tub. Oh it felt nice. Alex chickened out and said it was too hot. The rest of us enjoyed it.

Oregon Trip - The last stretch to Lincoln City
Since we had 6 hours up the coast we thought we would stop here and there and make a day trip out of it. After leaving the Oregon/California border, we followed behind Grandpa up the beautiful coast. At this point Alex was sitting up front with me while I drove. We got a few pictures that he took of things he thought were pretty cool.
A marina
A logging Company
Some awesome Graffiti of course
Something he absolutely LOVES, and gets super excited about is our Nations Flag
and . . .we can't forget the patriotic painted fire hydrant.
Grandpa took us to another Lighthouse on the coast. We couldn't quite figure out how to get over to it, but we snapped a picture anyway.
After a bunch of driving, we were all pretty hungry. We pulled up Trip Advisor and found this DELICIOUS sub shop called "CITY SUBS". Seriously one of the best sub sandwiches I've had. I am pretty sure it was their bread that made is so good. It's in Coos Bay, Oregon. We love to support the small businesses, and so happy we did. Again, we LOVED IT!!
After lunch we chose not to go with Curt and Janet. They were headed to more lighthouses, and we really wanted to make it to the sea lion cave for the kids. I was upset that we got there 30 min. too late. UGH!! It would have been so cool. They take you down an elevator to a cave where hundreds of sea lions come. I hear it is stinky, but pretty cool to see all of them. I was so sad we missed it. So we continued up the coast, hoping to make it to Lincoln City ASAP. We were sick of driving.
Lyndee is bored. She loves selfies. (Not my daughter, or Zach's in this matter.)
